Gabry was born in Torino, Italy, the 20th of April, 1973.
His career as dj producer begins in 1993, the year he joined Blisscorporation, a brand new recording company in Italy.
In the next few years he works as remixer on several projects like DaBlitz, Blissteam, 883. In 1998 he joins M.Lobina and Jeffrey Jay to form Eiffel65.
Their first single Blue (Da ba dee) puts the band for many weeks on the top of the charts all over the world, with more than 10 million copies sold.
In 1999, the follow up Move Your Body duplicates the success of Blue, and in 2000 the band starts a tour (over 2 years and 500 concerts) that will take them from Europe to America, where their first album Europop will be given a triple platinum disc for more than three million copies sold.
They get a nomination for the Grammy Awards as “The best dance artist of the year” and they also win the European Music Awards in Montecarlo as “the best Italian artist in the world”.
In the 2002 the three guys move from the dance scene and take part to the “Festival della canzone Italiana” in Sanremo, with the song Quelli Che Non Hanno Età, another hit that will open doors for their third album Eiffel65.
Meanwhile Gabry gets back to the clubs, releasing his first soloist album called Gabry Ponte. His first singles Time To Rock and Geordie reach the top of the charts in less than one year making him one of the most popular DJ's in Italy.
Then Gabry enters Radio DJ, the biggest and most important radio station in Italy.
In the 2003 La Danza Delle Streghe once more goes number one in all the Italian club charts.
The same year Gabry takes part to the project Haiducii producing the remix that will take the O-zone song's Dragostea Din Tei to the top of the sales charts all over Europe.
In January 2004 Gabry releases his second album Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Dj from which the new single Figli di Pitagora feat. Little Tony, a famous international rock star of the 60's, is taken.
The follow-up single Depends On You is released in December 2004... The ultimate dance remix.
In 2006, Gabry Ponte's project Karmah enters the charts all over Europe with their hit single Just Be Good To Me, even reaching the top of the charts in some countries. Also the second single Tom's Diner, as well as the album turns out to be very successful.
In the same year he also releases La Libertà, an innovative masterpiece that cleverly connects italian dance beats to operatic singing. In October 2006 he starts working for m2o, an Italian dance radio station, with a weekly program being broadcasted every Saturday.
In December 2006, his EP Tech Noises In The Digital Age According To Gabry Ponte, containing of U.N.D.E.R.G.R.O.U.N.D. and Electro Muzik Is Back, and in February 2007 the next EP, called Love Songs In The Digital Age According To Gabry Ponte, containing of The Point Of No Return and once more a unique innovation ... The Eurotrance Remix of Geordie.
By the same time Gabry's radio program becomes a daily one – Gabry2o, from Monday till Friday at 6pm.
